Frequently Asked Questions
Oglethorpe Goods is a premium merchandise brand inspired by Savannah, Georgia. We create original designs that celebrate the city's history, natural beauty, and distinctive character — printed on high-quality apparel, art prints, and accessories. Every product features one of our three original designs: The Oak, The Coordinates, or The Grid.
General James Edward Oglethorpe founded the colony of Georgia and the city of Savannah on February 12, 1733. He designed Savannah's revolutionary city plan, organized around a system of public squares that still defines the city nearly three centuries later. His vision of a city built on equality and shared public space was extraordinary for its time and remains one of the most celebrated examples of urban planning in the world. We named our brand in his honor.
Oglethorpe's city plan for Savannah was organized around repeating units called wards, each centered on an open public square. Over the following century, twenty-two squares were laid out across the historic district. Twenty-one survive today — shaded by massive live oaks and draped in Spanish moss, they are the heart of Savannah's identity and the reason the city feels unlike any other place in America. Our Grid design is a geometric abstraction of Oglethorpe's original ward plan.
Every piece is made to order by our print-on-demand production partners. Processing typically takes 2-5 business days, and standard shipping takes an additional 3-7 business days after your order ships. Total delivery time is typically 7-14 business days. You'll receive a tracking number by email once your order ships.
Because every item is printed to order specifically for you, we cannot accept returns for buyer's remorse. However, if your item arrives damaged or defective, we will gladly replace it or issue a full refund within 30 days of delivery. For sizing issues, we offer exchanges on apparel items. Please contact us at hello@oglethorpegoods.com with photos of any issues and we'll make it right.
Our apparel is printed on Comfort Colors blanks — garment-dyed, heavyweight 100% ring-spun cotton (6.1 oz for tees, 12 oz for hoodies). They feel broken-in from the first wear and only get softer over time. Our art prints are produced on archival matte paper with museum-quality giclée inks. Our mugs are high-quality ceramic, dishwasher and microwave safe. Our canvas totes are sturdy 12 oz cotton.
Yes. Every design — The Oak, The Coordinates, and The Grid — is original artwork created by our team. The Oak is a detailed botanical illustration of a Southern live oak. The Coordinates uses clean typography to present Savannah's GPS coordinates. The Grid is a geometric abstraction of Oglethorpe's 1733 city plan. These designs are exclusive to Oglethorpe Goods and cannot be found anywhere else.
